UPDATE: 2:50 p.m.
RCMP has been investigating, after a woman was found dead inside a home in the 5500 block of Heritage Drive.
Police were called to the property on Tuesday, May 28 at approximately 4:30 a.m.
According to Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski, “the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the person’s death is continuing. There is no known risk to the public and no additional information is available for release at this time.”

A large police presence has been in front of a house on Heritage Drive for most of the day, Wednesday, May 29.
Three Vernon RCMP vehicles, and an undercover SUV have been stationed in front of the house.
Police tape has been set up surrounding the property.
